He's sentenced to death and refuses to receive his last rites, with the priest warning him that if he leaves Earth this way, he'll become a wandering lost soul who can never return home to Heaven. Me dancing with the brideI learned to love wedding photography. I hopped in at a time where the more traditional way of shooting them was fading and people began wanting artful images, not just your run-of-the-mill stale posed photos and being in people’s faces with a camera. I’m grateful I was able to be a fly on the wall otherwise, I don’t think I would have stuck with it.
The food was abundant and varied, but clearly aimed at the tastes of the children rather than the adults – hamburgers, fried chicken, mac and cheese. Since during this last week of the season there were only small children, even though there were fewer people in total, the noise level was incredible, exhilarating, exciting, overwhelming, and deafening. So, after we checked in, and ordered newspapers for the week , we walked up to our cabin.
Look Homeward, Angel
Once, a few years ago, I was following a photographer on Instagram who I thought was skilled and I enjoyed her work. One day she asked a question to her followers about some technical problems she was having with her camera. I thought “how the hell does she not know what’s going on? How did she not understand the tool she uses to create an income? It angered me more than I wanted to allow myself.

You Never Can Truly Return Home
Life has been slipping through my fingers. All of my eggs had been in one basket for over half of my life and day by day each of these eggs crack and rot. Wales itself was named not by the Welsh people, but by the Saxons . The Saxons saw who we call the Welsh, the original inhabitants of Briton, as foreigners. Wales means “Place of the Others.” The Welsh people themselves prefer to call themselves Cymry, and to call their country Cymru.
My best friend moved away, and with her went two very strong presences on the worship team. People have stepped in to replace them and are doing a great job. It’s just something I’ll have to get used to. Nearly any trace of my Senior class has been removed or painted over. We’re now on the dusty shelves of yearbooks, not to be thought of again until the next big reunion. The song "I Can Never Go Home Anymore" by the Shangri-Las is made of this trope.
An Open Letter to Winter
Slowly, her eyes droop and their lips touch. It’s the smallest of kisses, almost like a feather grazing your lips. It’s small but my heart feels like it’s been pummeled because of it. She was never mine and now never will be.
This applies to the Regiments on a logistical and bureaucratic level. Once a regiment is raised it will likely never see its original homeworld or system. With new recruits being picked up from planets they pass, or liberate. Only the more famous and decorated regiments such as the Firstborn or Death Korps of Krieg have the privilege of getting reinforcements from their homeworld. The RuPaul song "Never Go Home Again" is about the prevalence of this trope in the GLBT community, and how queer people often band together and form new families after facing rejection at home.

Or it is not the right type of snow where you cannot build anything as it will not stay how you wanted it. If you are from a state that receives little to no snow every year you most likely have a different picture of what it like. For many of us college freshman, this was our first fall away from home. As my suitemates can attest, I was almost literally bouncing off the walls in excitement to go home for the first time since August . I missed my brother, I missed my parents, I missed my grandparents, my dogs, my room, my church and most everything about my little podunk town I called home. But I discovered – you can never really return home.
It attacks my toes first and it isn’t long until my socks are soaked. She always sits there, on the swings and swings her life away. She will never catch me, I hide behind trees, try to stay as far away from her for she might take that pleasure away from me. I grew up in a rather liberal area of New Jersey before going to Virginia for school. While Virginia is a blue-ish state, it has multiple red districts and is more conservative than my typical comfort zone. I have a friend at college who is as far right as I am left.
The Finnish military march Jääkärimarssi . Syvä iskumme on, viha voittamaton, meillä armoa ei, kotimaata . Makes sense, because the Yeagers were patriots who during the WWI joined the German Army to get military training for liberation war against Czarist Russia. The Czarist Law stated mandatory death penalty from high treason. While I know that it’s impossible to have that type of summer again, it’s important to me that I find the time to have moments like that in my life forever. No matter how busy life gets, you need to be able to step back and enjoy what makes you happy.
